Last weekend was the Folk Art Festival and the Blessing of the Fleet in Chauvin, LA. I'd been to the Sculpture Garden (home of the Folk Art Festival) about 10 years ago, so it's been a while and I'd forgotten how amazing it is. I took quite a few pictures- here are a few of my favorites.
this one takes my breath away

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Here you will find a collection of textiles that I make, textiles that I love, art, design, and whatever else catches my eye.
I studied printmaking for seven years and discovered a love for process, fibers and multiples.
Now I'm turning my full attention to fiber arts in its varied forms. The more I work with fibers, the more I see a kinship with printmaking processes and the ideas and techniques involved therein.
You can contact me by using the contact form above, or at 5oclockcrows[at]gmail[dot]com. I'd love to hear from you!
